Jimmy John’s Has Entered The Value Meal Wars With A Hearty Deal

It’s summer, which means there are vacations to go on, beach days to be had, trends to jump on, and new cocktails to try. Not to mention that inflation is crazy high, and my little treat budget is through the roof. Luckily, it seems as though fast food chains have heard our pleas for affordable food; Starbucks dropped their new pairings menu, McDonald’s introduced the $5 Meal Deal, and Wendy’s has the Biggie Bag. Now, there’s even more good news for my fellow broke college students: Jimmy John’s is also entering the value meal game with its new Total Package Meal, which clocks in at just $10.

What’s in Jimmy John’s Total Package Meal?

For a measly Hamilton (or two paper Abes), you can snag yourself a full 8-inch Original sandwich, a crispy bag of Jimmy Chips, a sweet treat to satisfy your sugar craving. Oh, and to wash it all down, the Total Package also includes a refreshing fountain drink. It’s like hitting the jackpot without even buying a lottery ticket.

We’re talking classic Jimmy John’s goodness here. From the fresh veggies to the perfectly toasted bread, this deal is a total game-changer. Customers can select an 8-inch sandwich from seven options like roast beef, B.L.T. and tuna salad sandwiches. And, of course, you can choose your chips, and opt for a chocolate chip cookie or brownie. Whether you’re craving the classic number 1 (aka ham and provolone) or feeling adventurous with your meal choices, this deal has you covered.

Could Jimmy John’s value meal be better than other fast food chains?

Throughout the summer, fast food chains have been releasing their own value meals — it’s like a race to see which chain has the best deal.

On June 25, McDonald’s introduced a limited-time $5 value meal that includes a McChicken or McDouble, four-piece chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink. On June 2, Taco Bell rolled out the customizable new Luxe Cravings Box, which includes a medium fountain drink, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, tortilla chips with nacho cheese, and a Chalupa Supreme (and saves you $7). Plus, Wendy’s recently dropped the $5 Biggie Bag, which includes your choice of a Bacon Double Stack, Crispy Chicken BLT, Crispy Chicken, Double Stack or a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, plus a four-piece nugget, small fries, and small drink (plus a free frosty if you order through the app). Jack in the Box also entered the chat with a $5 Big Deal Meal, which features a Jr. Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger or a Jr. Chicken Sandwich (so, yes, kid’s meal portions) plus a taco, small curly fries, and a small soft drink.

So, next time you’re feeling the college crunch and craving a sandwich, head on over to Jimmy John’s and treat yourself to this incredible deal, which is available in stores as of August 5 for a limited time. Your stomach (and your bank account) will thank you.
