How To Throw A Budget-Friendly Beach Party

As summer continues on, the weather is only getting hotter. There’s only so many ways to beat the heat: the most obvious one being a trip to the beach. And what’s more fun than a regular beach day? A beach party, of course!

But throwing a beach party can be expensive. Ordering food can put a dent in your wallet, not to mention buying all the necessary equipment. But, there are a bunch of ways you can throw a beach party without breaking the bank.

Food

If you’re planning on partying at the beach all day, you’re going to need some sustenance. And what’s a trip to the beach without a sandwich?

Since it’s a party, there’s a lot of people to feed. That’s why making a big beach sandwich is the move. TikToker Hailee Catalano uses pesto, cheese, sliced meat, onions, and her own sauce on a giant hero bread for her big beach sandwich

Once your big sandwich is constructed, simply cut it into sections to make smaller sandwiches for each person. You can add any kind of cheese, cold cuts, and veggies that you like. TikToker Mia Griffiths uses salami, green olives, and roasted capsicum in her sandwich.

You’re also going to need some snacks that won’t get sandy. It’s actually super easy to make nachos at the beach with ingredients you pick up on the way. You’ll need a bag of chips, chili, cheese dip, sour cream, avocado, and cilantro. All you have to do is open the chip bag sideways and add in your ingredients. The best part is, the sand won’t get into your nachos because they’re in a bag

Don’t forget the fresh fruit, There’s truly no better feeling than laying on the hot beach while munching on some cold, juicy fruit. Slice and wash your fruit before going to the beach, and pack it in an airtight container. I recommend this one from Amazon. It has multiple compartments and a handle for easy transportation.

Drinks

A refreshing, cold mocktail pitcher is perfect for a beach party. TikToker Autumn Acord uses only a few ingredients, like coconut water, lime, himalayan salt, and agave syrup in her mocktail recipe. She calls it “nature’s Gatorade” because of how hydrating it is. It’s definitely a must for when your party guests are under the scorching sun.

And you’ll need festive cups for your drinks. Check out these that come with beach umbrellas.

It also doesn’t hurt to bring along some sodas in your cooler, like a pack of Olipop. The tropical punch flavor is perfect for the beach.

Supplies

You’re going to need some supplies in order to throw the best beach party ever. You’ll need a blanket that’s big enough for everyone to sit and eat on. For maximum convenience, I recommend a blanket that turns into a tote bag, which you can purchase on Amazon. You can fit a few beach towels in the tote too.

But, your guests can’t just chill on the blanket the whole time. That’s why you should pack some sports equipment. Spikeball, pickleball, and volleyball are all fun team games you can play on the beach. Some beaches already have nets set up, but if they don’t, you can just bring your own. They’re all super easy to set up. Check out this portable beach volleyball set from Amazon.

And what’s a party without music? You need a speaker so you can blast all the best beach tunes, from Taylor Swift to Bad Bunny to Chappell Roan.

Lastly, you’ll need a big enough cooler to keep all your food fresh and drinks cold. No one is going to want to eat a hot, soggy sandwich.
