8 Chocolate Products You Need To Try If You’re A Chocoholic

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Hofstra chapter.

I’ll be honest. I can’t go a day without eating a piece of chocolate. I know, it’s not the healthiest, but everyone has their  vices. I knew I was a chocoholic when I was a kid because I’d only eat chocolate and no other types of candy. Starburst, Laffy Taffy and Skittles were not for me. I think there’s something so magical about chocolate and if you’re a chocoholic too, then you know what I mean.

I’m always on the hunt for different chocolate candies and products to fill my pantry and I’ve come across eight brands that you’re going to love. Ranging from peanut butter cups and toffee to coconut chocolate drops and energy bites, here are some of the latest chocolate finds that every chocoholic needs in their life.

1. Amelia’s Toffee

Amelia’s Toffee is the perfect treat for all toffee lovers out there. Anita Comsky, founder of Amelia’s Toffee, has made it her mission to make the best handmade toffee using ingredients such as bourbon and coffee all from her coastal kitchen in Florida

Amelia’s Toffee has that buttery caramel taste that you know and love, but with a hint of sea salt to really enhance the flavor. Amelia’s Toffee comes in six different flavors: Sea Salt, Orange Bliss, Key Lime, Bourbon, Coffee and Cherry.

My favorite flavor was the Sea Salt and the Orange Bliss, but every flavor was delicious. There’s nothing better than that melt-in-your mouth taste and that’s exactly what happens when you take a bite of this sweet confection.

If you’re interested in trying Amelia’s Toffee, you can shop the collection online.

2. Choc Zero

Choc Zero’s mission is to create chocolate that you can feel good about eating. Made with real Madagascar vanilla beans and premium chocolate liquor, Choc Zero is the keto-friendly chocolate you’ve been looking for without the sugar alcohol.

Choc Zero offers a variety of products including sugar free syrups, peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, chocolate bark and chocolate squares.

I had the chance to try the peanut butter cups and I really enjoyed them. While they may not be your classic Reese’s, they are a great alternative for those looking to satisfy their peanut butter and chocolate cravings. The white chocolate cups weren’t my favorite, but the dark chocolate one’s were absolutely divine.

3. RED Chocolette

RED Dark Chocolette is the first chocolate in the world to have nearly half the calories of other dark chocolates. This is because RED Chocolette is made with no added processed sugars.

I was a bit skeptical about how the chocolate would taste because dark chocolate is already pretty bitter to begin with, but surprisingly it wasn’t much different. If anything, I think the chocolate was a lot more smooth than other dark chocolate I’ve tried.

Red Chocolette offers bars and pralines in both milk and dark chocolate with fillings such as macadamia nuts, oranges and almonds. The pralines were my personal favorite because the filling was so smooth and creamy.

If you’re looking to buy RED Chocolette, they are available for purchase on Amazon.

While I love desserts, I will admit that I don’t bake from scratch very often. When I learned about Baketivity, I was instantly hooked. This at-home baking kit takes the work out of baking with its clear recipes and pre-measured ingredients. While the product is geared towards children, anyone can use it to create fun and delicious baked goods.

Some of the kits include Funfetti Muffins, Emoji Cookies, Gluten-Free Granola Bars, Panda Pull-Apart Cupcakes, Whoopie Pies and more.

Baketivity’s baking kits are sold as part of a subscription service. Plus, every subscription comes with a free apron.

6. Flax4Life

I’m obsessed with brownies and when I saw these chocolate brownie muffins from Flax4Life, I knew I had to get my hands on them. Flax4Life’s mission is to create delicious and nutritious gluten-free products for all. While I don’t adhere to a gluten-free diet, that didn’t matter because for a chocoholic, chocolate is chocolate.

These Chocolate Brownie muffins were so moist and rich. If you’re looking for an excuse to have chocolate for breakfast, you can’t go wrong with a muffin.

In addition to muffins, Flax4Life also sells brownies, granola, cakes and toaster buns. To find a store near you that carries Flax4Life, check out their product locator

7. Pure Inventions

Pure Inventions water infusion drops are perfect for people on-the-go or those who are looking for ways to stay hydrated this summer. Pure Inventions was created to help people achieve beauty and wellness from within. Pure Invention’s coconut water infusion drops are a great way to restore electrolytes after a long day in the sun.

At first I was a bit nervous to try chocolate flavored drops because the combination didn’t sound too appealing. However, I put some into my water for a workout and I was shocked. Normally during a workout, I’d drink two full bottles of water and still feel dehydrated. When I used Pure Inventions, I only needed one bottle and actually felt replenished. Even better, the water had flavor so it wasn’t as bland.

While it may not be actual chocolate, the hint of cocoa is definitely present giving a pleasant sweet taste. If you’re looking to try Pure Inventions, they are available for purchase online

8. Somebody’s Mothers

Somebody’s Mother’s dessert sauces are chocolate heaven in a jar. Somebody’s Mother’s come in six unique flavors: Chocolate, Caramel, Praline, Mocha, Island and White Chocolate.

The sauces pair perfectly with a breakfast crepe, ice cream sundae, apple slices and basically anything you can imagine. If you’re looking for a topping that taste homemade like your own mother made it, then I’d definitely recommend trying Somebody’s Mother’s dessert sauces.
