The Fajita Veggie Quesadilla Hack From TikTok Is Now On Chipotle’s Menu

Back in December, TikTok went a little crazy for one specific menu item at Chipotle. It started with Alexis Frost posting a video as part of her series reviewing what employees order at the chain restaurants they work at. In this video, she went with a a steak quesadilla with extra cheese and fajita veggies. From there, it went viral, with tons of people, including Keith Lee, trying and reviewing it.

What happened with the Chipotle Fajita Quesadilla hack on TikTok?

Eventually, some Chipotle locations were making it hard to order, putting out signs saying “PROTEIN AND CHEESE ONLY ON QUESADILLA!” or making it impossible to mobile order it. We even created a copycat recipe to try to make the version at home.

Will the Chipotle Fajita Quesadilla hack be on the menu?

Back in January, we got a TikTok teaser from Lee and Frost, who worked with the chain to get the Chipotle fajita quesadilla to be a permanent mainstay. Well, now you can order it on the app or in stores without any issue, because Chipotle has officially added a Fajita Quesadilla to their menu. Starting on March 2, you can get a quesadilla with your protein of choice (but most people, including myself, go for steak), fajita veggies, and even the famous chipotle honey vinaigrette.

To pay homage to Frost and Lee, Chipotle is adding two different custom quesadillas. The Fajita Quesadilla Hack, for Frost, has steak as the protein and roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo red-chili salsa, and sour cream on the side. And the Keithadilla, obviously for Lee, comes with steak and roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, and chipotle honey vinaigrette on the side.

What does the Chipotle Fajita Quesadilla taste like?

I got a chance to try the Chipotle fajita quesadilla, and I can say, it lives up to the hype. The veggies are smoky, the steak is tender, and the chipotle honey vinaigrette is an absolute must (I would drink that stuff). I would recommend asking for extra cheese — you can really never have too much, right?
