Whether you love it or hate it, Stanley cups have everyone into a chokehold. Every new collection that drops sells out in hours and people even collect them. But they are not without flaws. Hydration lovers complain about the lid leaking or how the tumbler doesn’t fit into all cupholders. Because of this, lots of people are customizing their personal collection of Stanleys to better fit their needs. For one TikToker, her boyfriend took customization to the next level and turned a collection of Stanley tumblers into one-of-a-kind pieces.
TikTok user Carmela, @carmelaandthebeast, had a problem. She wanted somewhere to put her chapstick on her Stanley as she loses it from time to time and wanted to do something about it. So her boyfriend, Jordan, who works as an engineer, came up with a design that fixes that. When he discovered that the handle of the Stanley can come off with a screwdriver, he decided to create a 3D-printed design to combine the chapstick and the Stanley together.
It took some time for Jordan to get the right design. A video that Carmela posted to her TikTok shows Jordan experimenting with an earlier version of the design, and believe or not, the video went viral in little time. Once Jordan successfully created the perfect design for Carmela’s Stanley cup, the final result has a hole for the chapstick to be inserted in.
The creation of Carmela’s Stanley cup generated massive attention from brands like Microsoft, La Roche Posay, and of course, Burt’s Bees. So, it’s safe to say that presenting your hard work and gaining recognition from it should be greatly appreciated.
