Coachella is one of the most well-known music festivals in America. Over the span of two weekends in April, people fly to Southern California to see a lineup of popular musicians from around the world. There, they can try food from the trendy Coachella eateries and enjoy the tunes of headliners including Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean. In celebration of Coachella, we planned a meal for some of the top performers depending on their vibe and the vibe of their music.
Bad Bunny
Singer of popular songs such as “La Jumpa,” “Me Porto Bonito,” and “Coco Chanel,” Bad Bunny deserves a fresh carrot cake with raisins and walnuts. His music is fun and unique, and plus, his stage name has the word bunny in it!
BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK, another headliner of Coachella, is a K-Pop girl group that has gained a huge fanbase in the United States. With songs like “Shut Down,” “Pink Venom,” and “Typa Girl,” we thought it best to serve them a cheese fondue dinner with a chocolate fondue dessert. It’s the perfect meal for sharing (considering their band has four members) and a fan favorite by everyone.
Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean is one of the most well-known artists performing at Coachella. His music, including songs such as “Pink + White,” “Lost,” and “Novacane,” is relaxed and sexy. Therefore, it only felt right to serve him oysters and champagne, food that’s fancy and seductive for the aphrodisiac of music.
Charlie XCX
Charlie XCX has a spark in her music. With songs like “I Love It,” “Boom Clap,” and “OUT OUT,” she is pretty hard to miss. With her edgy and energetic music, a meal that’s vibrant and surprising like Pop Rocks and a vanilla milkshake.
Dominic Fike
You may know Dominic Fike from his alternative hip-hop rap rock songs like “Nights,” “Babydoll,” and “Phone Numbers,” or for his premier acting role in the second season of Euphoria. Keeping this in mind and that he, of course, has a popular song called Chicken Fingers, we could only do him right by serving him crispy chicken tenders with hot sauce and a vodka cranberry.
Two Friends
Two Friends are two DJs that create fun and hype music. With songs like “Life’s Too Short,” “Looking At You,” and “Last Day,” the best food for this duo is s’mores. S’mores are loved by everyone, reminding us of fun summer nights — a perfect snack to make with friends.
Calvin Harris
Producer of popular songs such as “We Found Love,” “One Kiss,” and “This Is What You Came For,” Calvin Harris’ music is a classic for pop music lovers. Therefore, for a classic musician, a classic dish: fettuccine Alfredo. It’s a fan favorite and great no matter what the occasion is.
BENEE
Stella Rose Bennet, also known as BENEE, is an indie pop singer. With songs like “Supalonely,” “Afterthought,” and “Glitter,” she has become extremely popular in only a short period of time. BENEE is not only young, but her music is calm with a pop of color so we thought she would love a charcuterie and a tall glass of rosé.
