I recently returned home from Disneyland in Anaheim, California. My main reason for the trip was to check out Pixar Fest which started across the resort on April 13. Prior to my trip, I was aware of all of the amazing eats offered as I had seen some fellow Disney fans post photos on social media. I made a list of over 15 different treats I wanted to try to see if they were actually as delicious as they appeared. Although many of the treats were incredible, I narrowed them down to the five best treats at Disneyland's Pixar Fest.

UP Donut

Once my eyes caught a glimpse of this UP Donut located at the Main Street Coffee Cart to the left of the castle, I knew it was something I needed to try. I am not usually impressed by  donuts, but this one took me by surprise. This specialty Disneyland donut tastes even better than it looks. Most people would probably just take a bite right away, but I took a different approach. I wanted to try the colorful candies which made the balloons. They tasted like milk chocolate, but each had a slightly different flavor (most likely from the coating that encased each one). Next, I tried the white chocolate centerpiece. It was not as tasty as the candied chocolate, but still yummy nonetheless. I finally took a bite of the actual donut once all of the toppings were finished. It was like biting into a sweet and fluffy cloud as the flavor was enriched by the blue icing which coated the donut.

Carrot Cake Churro

The Carrot Cake Churro surpassed the four other churros I tried. This churro is described as being "Rolled in Cinnamon Sugar, served with Raisin-Carrot Cream Cheese Frosting." That is exactly what this treat was. The churro was evenly coated with a hearty amount of the Cinnamon Sugar and there were no uncovered spots like on the other churros I tried. However, the real flavor derived from the frosting that was served in a cup on the side. Once I tried the churro dipped in the frosting, I forgot that I was eating a churro because it tasted so similar to a piece of carrot cake

Alien Macaroon

I absolutely adore macaroons, but never tried a macaroon like this before. Not only is this the cutest macaroon I've ever seen, but the tastiest as well. This macaroon can be found at Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland. As soon as I took a bite into this treat I was instantly brought back to my childhood. The filling was extremely sweet and it slightly reminded me of the flavored cough syrup I used to take growing up. The fruity flavor that came from the blackberry and lime filling was so refreshing as it was an extremely hot day in California. I absolutely loved the white chocolate which made the cute eyeballs. I thought that the white chocolate on this treat was unquestionably better than that on the Up donut I mentioned earlier. I love sugar, but this macaroon was so sweet that it gave me a minor headache. I would recommend only having a few bites or saving it to finish over a couple of days.

Funnel Cake Fries

These colorful funnel cake fries can be found at Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure Park. After trying these, I don't think I can ever return to funnel cake. Each fry was perfectly fried so that the outside was crispy and the inside fluffy. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I especially loved dipping the fries in the whipped cream which was topped with fruit cereal. I think that if the fruit cereal were to be omitted, the treat wouldn't be as delicious. All of the flavors complimented each other well and made for a perfect treat. I shared this with two other friends. I would recommend doing the same as it is a fairly large portion.

Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num

This was the best cookie that I ever ate on Disney property. If you're like me and enjoy eating warm cookies then this is the perfect treat for you. When I took my first bite, my teeth sunk into the sweet and buttery cookie. This cookie is thicker than the average and can be eaten with a fork or spoon. It has a crispy exterior and a moist interior. I love when chocolate chip cookies have an abundance of chocolate chips and this cookie had just that (except they were chocolate chunks). Although I don't usually eat cookies with milk, the kiosk in Pixar Pier which sells this amazing cookie also sells a variety of milk flavors to pair with your treat.

If you happen to visit Disneyland before the end of Pixar Fest I would definitely try the treats aforementioned. They are like no other and are worth the money and time away from rides and  other attractions.
