Bring The Eras Tour Home With A “Lavender Haze” Lemonade

If your TikTok FYP has been anything like mine, you’re probably living vicariously through everyone who has been at the first few shows of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. You’ve seen all the glittery outfits representing each of her iconic albums, watched clips of Swift’s amazing musical talents, and maybe even gotten a peek at the merch and refreshments available for purchase.

To say I’m jealous is an understatement, so it’s time I recreate The Eras Tour from my college bedroom. I’ll start by dancing to T-Swift and making the fan favorite “Lavender Haze” lemonade, which went viral at the tour kickoff in Glendale, Arizona. Videos on lavender lemonade recipes have accumulated 23.7 million views on TikTok. The hype started when Taylor Swift’s album Midnights dropped back in October.

What is the Lavender Haze Lemonade?

The “official” Purple Haze lemonade recipe shared via TikTok includes Empress gin, lemon juice, Falernum liqueur, rhubarb bitters, and Elderflower tonic water. But TikTok users have shared a ton of other “Lavender Haze” inspired cocktails. Many of these focus on incorporating the strong lavender color achieved by the Empress gin and garnishing with dried lavender and lemon wedges, if you’re fancy.

Can I make the Lavender Haze Lemonade without alcohol?

For those looking for a non-alcoholic option, you can opt for just making a lavender lemonade, which requires only three ingredients. You’ll need around ¾ ounce to one ounce of lavender syrup, a cup or more of lemonade — both of which you can buy or make homemade — and roughly ½ to one cup of sugar. You can also substitute sugar with honey, agave, or whatever your choice of sweetener is.

While this drink may have caught fan’s attention from Swift’s Eras Tour, it sounds like it may be here to stay for the spring season.
