Lemonade is a classic for a hot summer day and with warmer weather coming my way, I wanted to create my perfect lemonade recipe.
I had purchased a few bags of lemons to drink hot water with lemon every morning, which helps with bloating and digestive health. Then, on a particularly warm day, the idea struck me to make lemonade for my dad and brother for when they came back inside from playing basketball.
I usually don’t work with recipes and I eyeball things, but I wanted to create my perfect lemonade recipe!
There are countless lemonade recipes online, so after lots of researching and experimenting – I finally came up with my perfect lemonade recipe! Here it is!
My Perfect Lemonade
Ingredients
Instructions
Pour 1 cup water and sugar into pot on medium heat. Bring to boil. Stir and let simmer.
Juice and strain lemons. Pour lemon juice into pitcher.
Pour water / sugar mixture over lemon juice and stir.
Fill pitcher to top with cold water (2 cups approximately)
Pour over ice. Add a splash of soda to each glass individually and serve.
