How to Make Lavender Simple Syrup to Up Your Coffee Game

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Texas chapter.

In Austin, there’s a coffee shop that makes a killer lavender iced latte. It’s my go-to drink, and I down it in less than 10 minutes. At $5 a pop, however, it can be expensive to make it a daily habit.

After doing some digging, I found out that lavender simple syrup is super easy to make (coming from someone who once burned box brownies). Plus, dried lavender is really cheap to buy in bulk (we’re talkin’ less than $0.75) at specialty grocery stores. Use your fancy new lavender syrup to impress your friends or just to add a little something extra to your morning cup of joe.
