Last Minute 4-ingredient Valentine Treat

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UH chapter.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. There are many college students who are busy with back-to-back schedules but still want to make something special for that S.O on Valentine’s Day.

Of course, I didn’t forget about the single people; because if you’re single, every day is “treat-yo-self” day.

So whether you’re in a relationship or not, this last minute Valentine treat will surely satisfy that sweet tooth.

Step 1. Preheat oven to 350° F and place parchment paper on a cookie sheet(s). If you don’t have parchment paper, spreading olive oil or butter on the sheet(s) works too

Step 2. Mix the batter, egg and whip until well blended

Step 3. Form the batter into small drops and roll the batter in powdered sugar

Step 4. Place the batter drops onto the cookie sheet(s)

Step 5. Add in optional toppings. If you have none, place the cookie sheet(s) in the oven

Step 6. Bake for 10-12 min. or until the edges are slightly golden and crusted

Step 7. Take the sheet(s) out and allow them to cool

All this was prepared in 30 minutes the day of Valentine’s Day before my first class at 11 a.m. It’s easy, it’s tasty, and hey, who doesn’t like handmade treats?

Lastly, one personal tip is to wrap these cookies in clear wrapping paper; I think it adds more “craftiness” to the treat.

Enjoy your Valentine’s Day!
