How to Make Karlie Kloss’ Chia Seed Pudding

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at U Toronto chapter.

Karlie Kloss is a woman of many talents: a successful model, coder, and NYU college student. Karlie also loves to cook and bake, and she shares her favourite recipes with us on her YouTube channel, Klossy, in a series called Klossy Kitchen. She’s showed us how to make things like healthy pumpkin loaf, 3-ingredient pancakes, and Apple Krisp.

In her latest video, she shares a simple recipe for both chocolate and vanilla chia seed pudding. I’ve always wanted to try chia seed pudding (chia seeds are super healthy), so I decided to give Karlie’s recipe a whirl. It’s always cool when celebrities share their recipes, especially when we can actually make them at home with basic ingredients. This easy chia seed pudding is perfect for breakfast, a midday snack, or even as a healthy dessert.

Instructions

  1. Kavita Gurm

Mix together the sweetener (I used maple syrup, but Karlie used 1 packet of stevia), vanilla extract, sea salt, and milk (I used soy milk instead of almond – any kind works).

Note: I put 2 tbsp of maple syrup and I did find the pudding to be a little too sweet, so I would suggest putting in 1 tbsp and if necessary, you can always mix in more sweetener at the end.

  2. Kavita Gurm

Pour the chia seeds into a sealable container.

  3. Kavita Gurm

Pour the liquid mixture into the container with the chia seeds and mix well.

  4. Refridgerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight.

Top with fruit of your choice and enjoy!

Spoon Tip: To make Karlie’s chocolate chia seed pudding, simply substitute the 1-2 tsp of vanilla extract for 1-2 tbsp of cacao powder.
