Out with finals and in with summer jobs. Along with resume-building, summer means reuniting with high school homies, enjoying warm summer nights and sipping cool drinks by the pool. As a token flavor of summer, watermelon's sweetness appears in drinks, popsicles, candy and even salads.

This summer season fruit makes amazing frozen treats, can be used in a yummy salsa, and comes in over 1,200 varieties. And did you know it's the official state vegetable of Oklahoma?! Yes, I said vegetable.
