This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at BU chapter.

School’s out and summer is here. It’s time for hot days, late nights, and a cold drink after a long day. Break out your blender and open the freezer, because these boozy slushies are the perfect way to celebrate summer.

Summer is certainly a great season for food, whether it’s on the grill, fresh fruit, or ice cream. These boozy slushies will pair perfectly with any summer cuisine.

And if you’re underage or not into alcohol, don’t fret. A few of these recipes can be made non-alcoholic.

There’s one more thing to remember before you get out your blender. The more ice, the better. Extra ice means the texture will be thicker and more like a slushie.

And if you’re planning on serving these boozy slushies to a big group, make sure you’ve stocked up on ice. It goes faster than you think.

Whether you’re serving these up for a party or you’re pouring yourself a glass after a long day, always remember to drink responsibly.
