If you go to the University of Miami, you are unmistakably a fan of Wednesdays for the sole reason that all cravings are fulfilled with a quick visit to the farmer’s market. Cherishing every last day as a senior at UM, I vowed to visit the farmer’s market every week without fail. One week I stumbled upon quite possibly the biggest addiction and deepest love of my life, the UM farmer's market kombucha, Angry Booch. Here’s why we all need Angry Booch, in our lives –and ASAP.

If you’re wondering where to find the Angry Booch tent, it is typically located in the area closest to the bookstore. Each week the tent is fully equipped with four flavors of Angry Booch on tap. A few flavors I've had the pleasure of trying include Rose Geranium, Pineapple Turmeric, Hibiscus Ginger Orange, Guava Mint and Cherry Tarragon. Flavors come and go seasonally, ensuring they’re serving nothing but the freshest booch.

Besides the amazing flavors, Angry Booch provides great customer service. The “boochsociate,” at the UM Farmer's Market, Morgan, yes we are on a first name basis, will not only allow you to sample literally every single flavor multiple times, but will also combine flavors in order to create your perfect mix. She also will never give you a jar or cup that hasn't been completely filled to the brim. Yay more booch!

When purchasing your kombucha there are four options you can choose from. You can order it in an 8 oz. plastic cup for $3, a 16 oz. plastic cup for $5, a 16 oz. branded glass jar for $6 and a half-gallon branded glass kombucha jar for $22, which honestly I’m surprised I haven’t done at this point given how quickly I go through one bottle. If you’re an addict, I mean regular, like me, you can reuse your glass jars the next time you need your farmer's market kombucha fix, and get a dollar off of your order.

And, if you’re still not sold, kombucha has great health benefits. It has amazing effects on the digestive system and is a good source of probiotics and antioxidants. Kombucha can also boost your immune system, kill bacteria, reduce heart disease risk, may help manage Type 2 Diabetes and help protect against cancer.

Needless to say the farmer's market kombucha, Angry Booch, is the glimmer of hope I hang onto every hump day in order to get me through the rest of the school week. So the next time you rush over to stand in a ridiculously long line for poké, acai or a steak sandwich, remember that a real treasure is just around the corner, in a little glass jar.
