They're simple, delicious, and everyone loves them: tacos! And luckily, the foodie town of Ann Arbor does not disappoint when a craving for Mexican food hits. Check out these five spots that will satisfy your Tuesday night taco craving (or any night of the week for that matter).

Chela's

With two Ann Arbor locations, Chela's provides a fun, casual atmosphere that is perfect for a quick weeknight meal. Not only are they known for their authentic tacos, but their tamales should not be missed. And if you're looking to heat things up, they have a variety of salsas to choose from. Make sure to grab an order of their Mexican street corn, known as elotes.

BTB Burrito

Another great casual spot is BTB Burrito. While "burrito" is in the name, they also serve up some delicious tacos. In addition, they have some delectable meatless options, such as their loaded Vegan Plate. BTB provides the classics, but also has some creative choices, like the Gringo Burrito, which features bacon and ranch if you're feeling adventurous. Open until 4am on the weekends (and 3am on weeknights if you need some late-night study fuel), this spot is a great option no matter the time of day.

La Taqueria

La Taqueria is a great spot if you're looking for a slightly more upscale feel that's still well-priced. Here, they're serving up what they call "fusion craft tacos" individually, making this place perfect to stop in for a taco snack or a taco feast, depending on how hungry you are. If you're looking to lighten things up, they can make any taco with a lettuce wrap instead of a tortilla. Some worthy menu items to point out include the nachos made with fresh house-made tortilla chips, and dessert tacos featuring a cinnamon-vanilla waffle shell!

Isalita

Isalita is the spot if you're looking for a fun spin on the classics. They have 12 different types of tacos to choose from, including a carnitas taco that features Coca-Cola braised pork, as well as cauliflower tacos topped with a cucumber mint salsa. Feeling indulgent? Treat yourself to their truffle guac, a fancy twist on the must-have. Come back the next day for their killer brunch, where they're serving up things like breakfast burritos and delicious egg hashes.

Cantina

Cantina is where to go if you're looking for something a bit more lively. This bustling spot doubles as a bar, so stop in for some tacos and then stick around for their nightlife scene. Their tacos hit on all of the classic flavors while still including some fun additions, such as the shrimp taco with honey butter sauce or their potato croquette taco. Don't miss out on their Taco Tuesday, where they're doing tacos for only $2.50!

Any one of these five spots is perfect for when you just need a taco (which is pretty much all of the time, for me at least). And if you can't make it on a Tuesday, the good news is that these places are serving up tacos every day of the week.
