Summer is upon us and one of the best ways to beat the heat is with ice cream. While you could go to the grocery store and get a pint of Ben & Jerry's, why would you do that when ice cream shops like Scoop DeVille exist?

What Is Scoop DeVille?

Located in Philadelphia, Scoop DeVille has been the go-to ice cream shop of Philadelphians and tourists alike. Scoop DeVille is the only ice cream shop where you can make your own soft-serve flavor on the spot! With over 100+ toppings, there is literally something for everyone.

Scoop DeVille has two locations in Philadelphia: The Bourse and Middletown Village. If you are in Center City, the Middletown Village location is where you want to go!

What's On The Menu?

Scoop DeVille has a menu full of signature blends, sundaes, specialty ice cream flavors, toppings and pastries. For the sake of this article, I am going to specialize on the ice cream, but will note that they serve cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc.

Some of their most popular blends include Country Breakfast, Flintstones, Give Me Samoa Lovin, Moose Munchies and Smoreo. Moose Munchies consists of moose tracks ice cream blended with sugar cookie dough, caramel sauce, and rice krispies treats. Give Me Samoa Lovin consists of cookies and cream ice cream blended with toasted coconut, graham crackers and is topped with caramel.

Ice Cream Sundaes

In addition to their signature blends, Scoop DeVille also serves sundaes. I tried the S'mores Brownie Sundae and it was absolutely delicious. This sundae consists of a warm, gooey brownie with vanilla ice cream, graham crackers, marshmallow fluff, hot fudge and mini marshmallows. These sundaes are perfect if you are having an intense ice cream craving or want to share with a friend!

Overall Thoughts

I was extremely impressed with Scoop DeVille and would definitely return. The shop has a fun and welcoming atmosphere and was decorated to take the cutest Instagram pictures ever. If you are looking for ice cream in Philadelphia that isn't just your typical chocolate and vanilla, I would highly recommend stopping by Scoop DeVille. The menu might look a little overwhelming, but the staff is open to answering questions an making suggestions!
