I scream for ice cream, and so is everyone else because July is National Ice Cream Month, with the National Ice Cream Day being July 21. Many ice cream companies and brands are celebrating the refreshing holiday with freebies and deals on their ice cream. We’ve compiled a list of all ice cream shops to stop by this month.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
New Yorkers, this one’s for you. To celebrate National Piña Colada Day as well as Piña Colada’s 70th anniversary on July 10, Van Leeuwen is teaming up with Discover Puerto Rico. On July 10, an ice cream truck will be giving free ice cream and branded merchandise on that day.
The truck has made its way across Manhattan, stopping at Bryant Park and Union Square earlier today. The last stop is 787 Coffee located at 204 W 10th Street and the truck will be there from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Talenti
For one day only, New York City commuters can taste a sneak preview of the Talenti mondae. The “mondae” was based on a survey which states that 80% of people claim Mondays are the most stressful day at work.
On July 15, Talenti is offering the refreshing Summer Strawberry mondae and a perfect pick-me-up affogato mondae for free from a pop-up cart experience at Bryant Park (Sixth Avenue between 41st and 42nd Streets) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while supplies last.
Talenti is giving away its new “Case of the Mondaes” kit from July 20 to July 22 exclusively through DoorDash in New York City and Dallas. The “Case of the Mondaes” is an elevated sundae kit that’s meant to mimic champagne sorbet punches with a combination of gelato, sorbet, and luxurious toppings. The kit includes Talenti’s Summer Strawberry Sorbetto and De Soi Très Rosé Sparkling Non-Alchohalic Aperitif, along with white chocolate shavings, freeze-dried strawberry slices, and freeze-dried edible flowers.
