Dubbed 2016’s drink of choice, golden milk is the closest thing to a traditional haldi doodh.
It combines good old South Asian turmeric with western elements such as almond milk, coconut butter, cashews, etc. This cultural fusion gives you an aesthetic frothy Starbucks latte.
While it is fairly simple to make, a glass of traditional haldi doodh (turmeric milk) is an even easier way to reap the benefits of turmeric.
How To Make Turmeric Milk
In its simplest form, haldi doodh literally only needs 2 ingredients: turmeric and milk.
All you need to do is heat a cup of milk on the stove, and add 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder to it. Mix it thoroughly, and there you have it: the best and quickest home remedy for a throat ache, cold or flu.
#SpoonTip: Add a tablespoon of honey. This will not only improve the taste, but honey is also an effective remedy for a sore throat.
