I will gladly take an oath for Oath Pizza

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Harvard chapter.

Oath Craft Pizza is a gourmet pizza shop and food truck, with locations throughout Boston, Nantucket, and more opening in NYC soon. In fact, Harvard was fortunate to have one of the trucks come to our campus last week, the turnout was fabulous: 180 pizzas in 2 hours – even in the rain! Safe to say Harvard students will pledge an oath for Oath Craft Pizza.

Oath is famous for their artfully designed pizzas made with sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients. Their hand-stretched dough is grilled and seared in avocado oil for the perfect crispness and texture. Their goal is to “inspire happiness in people who love great food and want to feel good.” They are most definitely dedicated to their customers, and I felt the genuine passion in their food.

The Menu:

The Highly Decorated

Muffled Trushroom (yes, you read that right), Spicy Mother Clucker, or the Walley… which will it be? Any kind of flavor combination you can dream up, Oath Pizza has. Their house-made truffle sauce with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and mushrooms will remind you of eating truffles in Rome. Their Luau with mozzarella, BBQ pulled pork, fresh pineapple, and BBQ drizzle will make your taste buds scream with excitement if you love Hawaiian pizza. If your go-to order is a Margherita pizza, then get the Bella, which has roasted cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese (no such thing as too much cheese), with roasted garlic, basil, and topped with a balsamic drizzle.

The Classics

Craving something classic? Their classic cheese and pepperoni pizzas are perfectly cooked with crispy crust and deliciously melted mozzarella cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Seasonal Specials

Tis the season for The Sven and the Crabby Old Baystard. The Sven is prepared with mozzarella, roasted Vidalia onions, prime ribs, Béarnaise drizzle, and chives. The Crabby old Baystard is made with – you guessed it – crab meat with old bay seasoning, crème fraîche, ricotta sauce, old bay aioli, crust breadcrumbs, scallions, and lemon.

Breakfast

Craving pizza for breakfast? Instead of eating the stale, cold pizza you ordered the night before, Oath’s South Station location serves delicious breakfast pizzas and flat bread sandwiches. Anything from your classic egg, cheese, and sausage, to The Greenway, which has eggs, mozzarella, baby spinach, tomatoes, and roasted ‘shrooms, finished with a balsamic drizzle. Definitely a reason to get out of bed in the morning.

Dessert

Once you’ve had your breakfast, lunch, and dinner pizzas, you of course need to finish with dessert. What’s a better dessert than pizza? Oath’s Chocolate Chunk Cookie pizza is exactly as it sounds like. It’s chocolate chunk cookie dough, ricotta, and powdered sugar. I’m speechless.

Oath serves full and half sized pizzas, and you can mix and match your flavors to construct the perfect pizza meal. They also can serve any pizza gluten free. And, if you don’t like anything on the menu and are feeling creative, you can make your own pizza.

So, if you’re a pizza lover or not (what person doesn’t like pizza? Weirdough.), definitely go and check out Oath Craft Pizza. You won’t be sorry.

In pizza we crust.

I'm a sophomore at Harvard concentrating in history and science with a secondary in global health and health policy. I love to play basketball, run, travel, and explore cities. I am originally from New York City, so I loved being able to go to different neighborhoods and experience the different cultures. What I loved most about NYC were the different restaurants or food fairs that I could go to. I really enjoy trying out new and cool foods.
