February was filled with delicious food. We’ve been to some of our favorite Atlanta restaurants this month, and we’re excited to share them with you.
Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q
The most recent restaurant we have eaten at is Fox Bros Bar-B-Q. Coming from New York City, we have never had true, authentic Southern barbecue. However, after this meal, it felt like we had cowboy boots on.
Our favored menu item was the spare ribs; they were flavorful, juicy, perfectly charred on the outside, and tender on the inside.
In the restaurant, there is a warm, welcoming feel to match the Southern vibes. It is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner.
MF Sushi
MF Sushi has been on our must-try list for months, so we could not have been more excited to try this restaurant. People rave about it, and I can say with full certainty that it did not disappoint.
Out of all the restaurants I have eaten at in Atlanta, MF Sushi holds number one. It is a fancy, trendy eatery and is perfect for a date night or dinner with family.
Le Bon Nosh
Le Bon Nosh is a restaurant in Buckhead that is ideal for a sit-down brunch or a quick breakfast pick-up. It’s a beautifully decorated environment with long wooden tables, a white marble coffee bar with a variety of drinks, and bright light all around.
It definitely gets busy during weekend brunch hours, so we would recommend making a reservation. The highlight of the menu was the French toast, and my friends enjoyed the avocado toast and French omelet as well. The apple compote soaked into the French toast made it soft and pillowy.
No. 246
No. 246 is a comfortable, fashionable Italian restaurant in downtown Decatur. It is perfect for a fun dinner with friends, a date night, or a family dinner. If you want a more calm meal, you can sit on the outside patio which is dimly lit and much quieter.
I had the bianca pizza and kale caesar salad, which were both fabulous. The kale caesar was crisp and loaded with parmesan cheese. I plan to go back to try the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta, margherita pizza, and cacio e pepe pasta.
Barcelona Wine Bar
Next, we went to Barcelona, an Inman Park staple. The staff as so kind and matched the energy of our group who was there for a birthday dinner. I particularly enjoyed the brussels sprouts and the croquetas filled with jamón and manchego.
Whiskey Bird
Whiskey Bird is an American-style restaurant with fusions of a variety of different cuisines. We were seated on the outdoor patio, which is perfect for any season because of the heaters.
As appetizers for five people, we ordered the most flavorful crispy brussels sprouts topped with a fried egg, bacon, maple syrup, and bonito flakes, the spicy tuna gyoza tostadas, and french fries (obviously).
As our main course, I shared the WB chopped salad and poke bowl with one other person and felt perfectly satisfied after. In addition to the delicious food, the ambiance is casual, trendy, and energetic, with great service.
O-Ku Sushi
O-Ku Sushi is a chic, modern, contemporary restaurant located in Midtown with a wide selection of sushi rolls, perfectly crafted spicy tuna crispy rice, and fun cocktails. I highly recommend the Tuna Crunch roll and the Over the Rainbow roll.
9 Mile Station
This restaurant is the ideal spot for a group dinner, special occasion, or birthday celebration. 9 Mile Station is located on the rooftop of Ponce City Market and overlooks the entirety of Atlanta, making the location a perfect photo-op.
For a group of ten, we shared the charcuterie board, French toast, kale salad, sweet potato gnocchi, breakfast sandwich, and eggs benedict — all of which were scrumptious.
