Fall Drinks to Make at Home When You’re Tired of Pumpkin Spice Lattes

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at USC chapter.

Yes, we know, the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte is back for its seasonal appearance on the fall Starbucks menu (and all over the ‘gram).

But why let this ubiquitous coffee concoction monopolize the fall drink scene AND your wallet? Instead, dig out those fuzzy socks, your favorite mug, and sip your way through the season with these totally-not-basic recipes.

Let’s face it: it doesn’t matter how many PSLs you’ve had already. It’s fall. You’re still not tired of sweet, creamy, cinnamon drinks and you probably never will be. Luckily, this one feels just different enough to fend off your basic fears.

Or maybe you’re like me, and despite your best efforts to enjoy a hot fall drink, trees on campus are green as ever and the temperature is STILL over 90 degrees—begging for a twist on the always refreshing classic sangria.  Or maybe you just wanna party, because it’s fall

4. Mulled Wine

But never fear, my cold-campus friends of the north—you too can raise a boozy glass to the best season of the year with this spice-infused cocktail. Still chilled? Turn your wine night into a cozy dinner party with these three fall soups.

Just in case you’ve gone a little overboard with all the fall festivities (if that’s even possible) and find your throat feeling as scratchy as a pile of leaves, we’ve still got you covered.

6. Mexican Pumpkin Punch

And last but certainly not least… did you really think this list would be pumpkin-free? Please.
