Fall is my favorite season. The air gets colder, the leaves start to turn, and the Halloween celebrations begin. Halloween parties can be a time to showcase your kitchen creativity, but deciding what to make can be the hardest part. If you want to get a little creative for your next Halloween party, try a few of these recipes.
1. Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats
Though making them might be slightly messy, these Pumpkin Rice Krispies are simple, festive, and yummy. This recipe calls for Rice Krispies, marshmallows, food coloring, Tootsie Rolls, and Fruit Roll-Ups. If you don’t have all these ingredients, there are other recipes to try.
2. Candy Corn Cookies
These homemade cookies with a Halloween twist would definitely be a hit at any party. They’re soft, sweet, and extremely versatile. If candy corn isn’t your thing, you can change the recipe up by using almost any Halloween candy.
3. Candy Bark
This is my favourite thing to bring to any Halloween party. Candy bark only takes 5 minutes, and you can use pretty much any type of candy. My personal favorite combo is Twix, Reese’s Pieces, and gummy worms.
4. Worms In Dirt
If you have a surplus of mason jars, this may be the recipe for you. Worms in dirt is super cute for any Halloween event, and it’s super simple. All it takes is cream cheese, sugar, and chocolate pudding in a jar with crushed Oreos and gummy worms on top.
#SpoonTip: If you don’t have mason jars, you can use a rectangular square pan.
5. Monster Apple Bites
Monster Apple Bites are a creative and healthy alternative to traditional Halloween desserts. All you need is apples, nut butter, and yogurt-covered raisins. These treats would be a great option if you want to celebrate Halloween with less of a sugar rush.
#SpoonTip: Use yogurt-covered almonds if you aren’t a huge fan of raisins.
6. Halloween Popcorn Balls
Popcorn is great, but Halloween popcorn balls are even better. Popcorn balls are easy to make, and they’re pretty much a staple of Halloween parties. You can get creative and use pretty much any type of candy and color of chocolate.
7. Ghost Cupcakes
These spooky Ghost Cupcakes will be a popular choice at any Halloween party, though getting the frosting just right may be a little challenging.
8. Halloween Trail Mix
Halloween trail mix is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Just use a mixture of Halloween favorites like popcorn, pretzels, chocolate bar pieces, or nuts. Trust me, you’ll hardly want to share this one with your friends.
It can be hard to choose just one Halloween recipe out of all the options. Though some require a little more skill than others, you don’t need to be a pastry chef to make any of these treats, and they’ll definitely impress everyone at your next Halloween Party.
