My Five Top Dishes to Order at KRAVERIE

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Skidmore chapter.

There are dozens of mouthwatering restaurants in Saratoga Springs, but none like KRAVERIE, where Korean and French food collide. This down-to-earth neighborhood eatery is located in the Beekman Arts District and is a MUST; it feels more like a bar than a sit down dinner spot, and during the warmer months, you can even eat in their outdoor patio.

While the portions are huge, they are definitely not difficult to finish—plus they have vegetarian and gluten-free options! The restaurant’s mantra is to “satisfy your kravings,” and it does exactly that. So cancel your dinner plans now because after you read this, you’ll be kraving KRAVERIE.

1. Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice

KRAVERIE’s fried rice is always my go-to. It comes with rice (obviously), bacon, scallions, a fried egg, and is topped with sesame seeds. Don’t forgot to add a meat topping—the chicken is the best!

2. Bibimbap

The Bibimbap (pictured with the fried rice) is a rice bowl, served with sautéed zucchini, carrots, bean sprouts, spinach, shredded romaine, Korean sweet chili sauce, and a fried egg. It’s delicious and relatively nutritious!

3. Orange Sesame Chicken

This dish is perfect if you are looking for something light. It has orange slices, tomatoes, cucumbers, crispy Asian noodles, carrots, and scallions, and comes with sesame dressing. YUM.

4. Kimchi Cheese Fries

These fries are the BOMB. They’re loaded with melted cheddar, monterey jack cheese, and kimchi puree. Always a fan favorite and great for sharing (or not).

5. Sweet Crepes

Last but not least…DESSERTS! Their crepes are the best and will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth. Flavors include Cheesecake, Nutella Madness, Tiramisu, Dulce de Leche, and Lemon with Sugar & Cinnamon. I’d recommend the S’mores!

KRAVERIE is a hidden gem and always Instagram-worthy. It’s the perfect place to get a great meal, grab a drink at the bar, listen to live music, and feel like a part of a community. Whether you’re a Skidmore student, a Saratoga local, or a visiting foodie, you must try this restaurant. You won’t regret it!
