‘Dark-Night Chocolate Cake?’ The name sounds more like the caped crusader of Gotham City, but lets just take a moment to wipe off the drool from our faces to recollect this:

Any thing chocolaty is what you crave for, when the sun’s gone and its pitch dark outside. And chewing on carrot sticks is less likely to satisfy you at midnight. Alas! When you finally discover a candy bar tucked away in the refrigerator, you end up dividing it among your dorm mates. Imagine the tiny chunk of chocolate you end up with!

Fear not! we have just the right recipe to bring to life your wildest midnight binge eat dreams.

    Preheat Oven to 350° Fahrenheit heat.
  2. Megna  Santhosh
    Line the baking tray with greased parchment paper. Mix cocoa powder and just enough milk over flame till thick (do not boil). Let it cool.

    Whip Butter using a hand-mixer till light yellow. Add in the sugar powder one tbsp at a time and whisk at a constant speed. Beat for 8 minutes.

    In a separate bowl, lightly whisk the eggs and Vanilla extract.
  5. Megna  Santhosh
    While simultaneously whisking the batter at low speed, add in the egg condiments little by little to the Butter mixture. Then pour in the Cocoa mixture and gently mix.

    Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda together and set aside. Fold in the flour mixture and curd alternatively into the egg mixture.

    The Batter should be of dropping consistency.

    Pour the batter into greased baking trays and pop in the Oven for 30 minutes.

    Your Dark-Night Chocolate Cake is ready!

    Dress the cake in homemade Chocolate Ganache frosting.
