This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Northwestern chapter.

We’re back this week with another easy and incredibly awesome recipe to impress your friends who love Game of Thrones (ICYMI).

The worst part about watching Khaleesi travel around Westeros with Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion? Not being able to have pet dragons of our own. And since it might be difficult to find dragons at your local PetSmart, we came up with a delicious way to birth your own dragons in the comfort of your kitchen.

Thank the Many-Faced-God that this recipe only has four ingredients, but if you’re trying to get fancy, try making your own chocolate shell from scratch.

All recipes were inspired by the book, Game of Scones, written by Jammy Lannister.

Khaleesi’s Dragon Eggs

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. NOTE: The ingredients listed are what you need for all three eggs. For each egg, you will need 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 1 tablespoon of water or milk.

  2. In a bowl, melt butter until liquid.

  3. Add water and powdered sugar. Mixture becomes firm but still malleable.

  4. Add red food coloring until desired color is reached.

  5. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with green and yellow food coloring.

Roll fondant out flat onto wax or parchment paper and cut out small circles (less than 1 inch in diameter with any tool you can find – marker cap, bottle cap, cookie stencil, rings, etc.)

Take each circle and begin layering it onto the egg by starting at the bottom of egg (the wider end) and pressing the fondant down onto the egg until it sticks.

Continue adding circles around the circumference of the egg, moving upwards and layering circles on top of one another.

Legend says walking into a blazing fire will appropriately birth your dragons. Here at Spoon, however, we cannot recommend this.
