Spring Weekend’s biggest event will take place on Saturday, April 28th when T-Pain takes the stage on Martyr’s Lawn. CAB puts together amazing programming for the week, from Josh Peck speaking on Thursday to Tig Notaro performing stand-up on Sunday, but Spoon’s favorite event has to be the food trucks that set up on the lawn during the concert.
Spoon Fordham received intel from CAB’s Weekend Activities Committee this week and we’re excited to reveal the vendors:
Sandwiches from Stuf’d
Stuf’d will be serving up delicious toasted sandwiches from their truck, with combinations such as buffalo chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. Their signature twist that sets their sandwiches apart is their “Stuf’d bread”, which they describe as “twice-baked challah with a panko-Parmesan crust.” Each sandwich also comes with homemade sauces. If you’re vegetarian, don’t worry: their quesadilla sandwich contain chipotle corn, avocado, pico de gallo, cheese, and beans.
Gourmet Ice Cream from Bona Bona
The brainchild of Chopped champion Nick Di Bona, Bona Bona describes itself as “restaurant crafted ice cream,” dishing up gourmet flavors such as brownie cookie dough, rainbow cookie, and Nutella s’mores from its truck and at its Smorgasburg stand. Then they top the scoop with a cloud of marshmallow and torch it to order, combining the best of two summer desserts (ice cream and s’mores, of course) into one amazing cone. These cones were born to be captured in portrait-mode, and I’m foreseeing a stellar picture on our Spoon Fordham Instagram account.
