How to Make Homemade Banana Bread

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Emory chapter.

It is a very weird time for everyone. Currently, I am in the middle of finals, which is stressful enough without everything else going on. To serve as a stress reliever, and an excuse to snack, I decided to make banana bread! To my surprise, I managed to successfully bake something actually tasty, so I am sharing my recipe to make banana bread with anyone else who may need it right now (and I would be very surprised if you said you didn’t):

Step #1: Mash bananas.

Before beginning, preheat your oven to 350°F. I used a large bowl and mashed four overripe bananas.

Step #2: Add butter.

Make sure to use melted butter, and add 1/3 of a cup.

Step #3: Mix in sugar, an egg, and vanilla.

For 1 hour (or until ready)!

Step #8: Enjoy!

Remember to let it cool!

Now you can tell everyone that you’ve mastered a new skill in quarantine, besides making TikToks, doing puzzles, and sleeping. If you’re stuck at home you might as well learn how to bake!
