I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly spending money on trendy things in my attempts to be healthier. However, these things more often than not end up collecting dust in my pantry. This includes protein powder I bought intended for a post-workout snack, but then the workouts never happened. If you’re like me or even if you actually workout and are looking for new ways to use protein powder, check out this recipe for protein-packed chocolate waffles. It’s super easy and will make you feel like a semi-health god.
Protein Waffles
Ingredients
Instructions
Combine the protein powder, flour, and baking soda in a bowl and whisk together.
Add the egg and mix it into the dry ingredients.
Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time until it has a batter-like consistency.
Grease your waffle iron and cook your waffle for about 5 minutes.
Add toppings to make your waffle extra delicious. I like using peanut butter and dark chocolate.
#SpoonTip: You can make a bunch of these waffles ahead of time and freeze them to enjoy later.
