Disneyland Halloween Time is a must do, especially for fans of the spooky holiday. While some may visit the park for its special decor and thrilling rides, I focus my trips on trying all the new treats Disney Imagineers whipped up. Here is a list of the top 5 things I found during my time at Disneyland.
1. Mickey Mummy Macarons
These adorable macarons are found at Jolly Holiday Bakery near Main Street in Disneyland. They are white chocolate with a salted caramel-chocolate filling. Disneyland has some of the most creative pastry chefs in the world. Seriously, how cute are these?
2. S’mores Churro
Disneyland is known for their churros. I am a huge Disney churro fiend, and when I heard about these, I knew I had to get one. I am nearly at a loss for words when I reminisce on these sweet treats–they are seriously that good. Give me a graham cracker covered churro with a gooey marshmallow chocolate dipping sauce and I will sell my soul to anyone. This is only available in Disneyland Park in Critter Country, which is right next to Splash mountain.
3. Evil Queen Caramel Apple
This is your classic Disney caramel apple with a spooky twist. The crown is made from white chocolate and the apple is covered with caramel and dark chocolate with a white chocolate “face”. I’m definitely no cannibal, but the Evil Queen tasted pretty bomb. Find these at most of the Disney candy stores throughout the park and at Downtown Disney. Also, there is a sick Maleficent one with rice crispy horns. I mean, come on?!
4. Dreamsicle Mickey Beignets
If you are a fan of the classic mall creamsicle smoothies, then you will love this. Think the iconic fried Mickey beignets but with sweet orange sugar. Also look at those cute little star sprinkles!! I could not resist these beignets and neither will you. Find these at the Mint Julep Bar near the Haunted Mansion.
5. Oogie Boogie Popcorn Bucket
*WARNING* In order to buy one of these special buckets you will literally have to wait in a line for over an hour, especially if you visit D-land on a busy day which is basically everyday lol. This is a limited edition Nightmare Before Christmas “Oogie Boogie” bucket that will only be available for this Halloween. Was it worth the wait? I think so. And, since the line was filled with all adults ages 30-60 who were willing to brave the wait, it must be something worth buying. Oh, and it glows in the dark if that makes you happy. Find it in both Disney CA Adventure and Disneyland.
#SpoonTip: If you want to make money at Disneyland to spend on more food, you can wait in line (maybe with some friends) and buy a couple of these buckets. Other Disney visitors will gladly pay you extra for the buckets so they don’t have to wait in line. Win-win for everyone. I literally witnessed a lady pay someone 20 extra dollars so she wouldn’t have to wait in line.
Disneyland Halloween was a great time, especially for my stomach. Here is me, my boyfriend, and a turkey leg. I really love turkey legs. And churros.
