This is the Easiest Powdered Sugar Cookie Recipe You’ve Ever Tried

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at St Andrews chapter.

My secret is officially out: this is my go-to cookie recipe for when I want it to look like I’ve put in any sort of effort. In reality, I’ve probably forgot that I was responsible for bringing something to your dinner party, or was simply more interested in napping all day (hey, we’ve all been there).

If you’re as lazy as I am, this is something that will add a well placed facade over your laziness as well.

My mom has a tradition of sending me a cookbook with many treacherous and time consuming recipes, and while we all love a challenge once in awhile, at the end of the day we’re all college students and we ain’t got no time for that. Luckily, one day I found a cookbook from 4 years ago when my mom gave me a pot cookie book (yum!) – and its rediscovery has benefited me in so many ways.

This recipe is a tried and true fallback for all y’all lazies out there. Gather your ingredients and eat some batter, okay?

After taking them out of the oven, let the cookies cool for 5 minutes and cover them in powdered sugar.

Now they’re all set for the party!

So there you have it my friends. If you’re like me and your gourmet intentions are often dwindled by the comfiness of your bed, your desire to online shop, and watch Netflix, this is the recipe for you.

Good luck and enjoy!
