These Baked Tortilla Chips Are the Perfect Excuse to Eat Chips and Guac

Tortilla chips: sure, you can buy them at the store, but once you see how easy it is to make your own, you may never go for the bagged version again. Give this easy homemade baked tortilla chip recipe a try, and prepare to be amazed.

Bonus: this makes for an excellent way to use up stale tortillas, which is awesome, because food waste is the worst. In less than 20 minutes, you can have warm, crispy, salty goodness at your fingertips. Prepare to meet guac’s new best friends with these scrumptious homemade baked tortilla chips.

Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips

    Preheat oven to 400°F.

    Gently brush one side of each tortilla with a light layer of oil.

    Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional). Place tortilla wedges on baking sheet, spacing evenly and ensuring that none overlap.

  5. If desired, gently brush lime juice on tortilla chip wedges. Sprinkle a generous amount of salt on chips.

  6. Place chips in the oven for 8-12 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
