It's the holiday season once again and even though the weather app on my phone says it's only -10, it's so cold I can barely remember what it's like to feel my legs. But if I'm just going to be staying inside, I may as well make it entertaining, right? Here are three holiday-inspired drinks that should warm you up this winter, or at least help you forget what's happening outside.

  • Total Time:12 hrs 10 mins
  • Servings:5
  • Easy

    Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 shot brandy
  • Soda water
  • 1 granny smith apple
  • 1 orange
  • 2 cups cranberries
beer, grape, liquor, red wine, alcohol, wine

  • Step 1

Pour wine into pitcher. I used Red Moscato because I like sweeter wines.

  • Step 2

    Add shot of Brandy.

  • Step 3

Cut up fruit. I don't like oranges so I didn't add them to my sangria. You can add as much or as little fruit as you're feeling.

  • Step 4

Add tonic water to fill up the pitcher. If you're looking for a sweeter sangria use soda water. Refrigerate the sangria overonight.

  • Step 5

Even though you have to wait hours for the sangria to be properly chilled and all the fruit juices to soak in, it's all worth it at the end. I added a drink umbrella to trick myself into thinking I'm in +30 weather.
