If you're like me, then you love pretty much all ice cream. I like trying new and exciting flavors, and one of the best ways to do this is by getting creative and making your own homemade ice cream! Most recipes, though, require a lot of steps, ingredients, equipment, and time that we college students don't tend to have. This homemade no-churn ice cream required only three ingredients and is the innovation of the amazing Nigella Lawson and is simple enough to be made even in a dorm!

  • Step 1

Measure out whipping cream into a medium bowl.
Use a whisk or fork to whip cream until thickened and soft peaks form. Soft peaks will just hold when you lift up the whisk.

  • Step 3

Stir in whatever flavorings you would like! This is where you can get creative and come up with your own flavors.

Here are the ingredients needed to make some classic flavors:

To make vanilla ice cream: add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
To make coffee ice cream: add 3 tablespoons of instant espresso powder
To make mint chocolate chip ice cream: add 2 teaspoons of mint extract and 1/4 cup of chocolate chips (I like to chop up the chocolate chips so they disperses more evenly.)

The mixture will become thinner as these ingredients are added.
