4 Sweet and Savory Crepe Fillings Perfect for Any Time of Day

Traditional Crepes Sweet or Plain

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 8 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • Optional:
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1

Mix all of the ingredients together and add in the milk slowly. It's easier to mix with a wooden spoon. The batter will be very liquidy.

To make the batter sweet, add in 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

Step 3

Heat up a medium sized frying pan (nonstick is preferable) with the oil. When it is hot, add in some of the batter and spread around the pan in a circular motion until it forms a thin layer.

Let each side crisp up until golden brown, remove from the pan, and set aside to cool.

Repeat the process until all the batter is gone. You will want to put more oil in the pan each time you make another crepe.

  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 tbsp. dark roast coffee
  • Whipped cream to put on top

Step 1

Mix the mascarpone, vanilla, and powdered sugar together in a bowl.

Pour the coffee on each crepe to soak. Spread some of the mascarpone mixture onto a sweetened crepe and roll up.

Spray a little whipped cream on top, drizzle with some chocolate syrup and sprinkle on a little cocoa powder. Enjoy!

  • 1 cup ricotta
  • Zest 1 lemon
  • Juice 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Blueberry Sauce:
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest

Step 1

Mix together the ricotta, lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, and vanilla.

In a medium sized saucepan, mix together all of the ingredients for the blueberry sauce. Bring to a boil and let it thicken. Remove from the heat.

Zesty Chicken Crepe Filling

  • 3 chicken tenders thawed
  • 8 oz jar mild picante sauce
  • 1 oz cream cheese
  • Chedder cheese

Heat up a medium sized skillet with some cooking spray. Meanwhile, dice up the chicken into small cubes.

Strain the picante sauce in a bowl keeping only the liquid.

Add the chicken to the skillet and once completely cooked through, add the cream cheese. Once it is melted, slowly pour in the picante liquid and let the mixture thicken.
