Finals season is quickly approaching, which means other than way too much work, you may be running out of time to make your weekly Whole Foods run. Open from 8 am to 11 pm, luckily you can drop into Benson to pick up a pre-class breakfast, grab a yummy late night or post-study sesh snack, or even get some cooking supplies. Trying to eat healthily at school has never been more possible. Keep reading to find your new favorite snack, or let's be honest, snacks. You deserve them!

Gelato

Let's start with the most important thing: the POD has upped its sweet treat game. Adding new Ben and Jerry’s flavors was one thing, but now Talenti gelato? Finally, it looks like someone is hearing our prayers! Sometimes gelato is an absolute need, and the rotating selection of Sea Salt Caramel, Pistachio, and Butter Pecan (among others) is a serious game changer.

Yogurt

With the addition of Fage, Siggi's, and Wallaby yogurt to name a few, stopping by the Pod to stock up for the week is easy and fun. For all you lactose intolerant people, Benson is certainly not skimping. Kite Hill (made with almond milk), SO Delicious  (made with coconut milk) and even Forager (made with cashew milk) are all amazing options. Conveniently, they're located right next to the new fresh fruit as well - it feels like fate!

Chocolate

If you’re in the mood for chocolate, then you’ll find what you’re looking for in the Pod. From Lily’s stevia-sweetened chocolate bars, to Ocho Coconut Chocolate bars, you’re going to want to try them all. Chocolate has been shown to have some health benefits, so you’d be doing yourself a favor by testing them all out… right? Plus, the serving size on most of these new additions is half the chocolate bar, so you might as well follow the expert instructions.

Meal Essentials

This sounds broad, but hear me out. For all of you living off-campus, in North Campus apartments, or honestly any dorm with a kitchen, here’s some good news: you can find all your necessities on campus! Aside from every day things like olive oil, you trendy foodies can get your avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, and even Daiya dairy-free salad dressing.

Gluten Free Snacks

Stephanie Schoenster

Of course, we can’t leave out the new gluten-free section. From quinoa puffs, veggie chips, and the million different types of popcorn, the snacks look lit. There’s gluten-free granola and even pop tarts, and even the frozen section has exploded. Goodbye Udi's cheese pizzas, and hello Glutino Poptarts, pretzels, and bread! I mean, who says we pull a BYOB (bring your own bread) to the Pit?

Now that our prayers for a new Pod were answered, who knows what new products will come in... did someone say La Croix? Just a thought! I can guarantee your new favorite snack is just a quick walk away. So there you have it. Basically, the Pod is the new Whole Foods (kind of). At least give yourself a solid 20 minute walk around, trust me you'll be happy you did.
