If you're looking for a little bit of chicken fried in the Mile High, I've compiled the best Southern brunches in Denver. Despite its location in the middle of the US, Denver has a pretty great selection of foods from all over the world, and Southern food is no exception.

1. Denver Biscuit Co
With four locations in and around Denver and a food truck, Denver Biscuit Co. is never too far away.
From biscuits and gravy to delicious fried chicken sandwiches, Denver Biscuit Co. should be your new go-to.
Try the Franklin, a biscuit with fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a heaping portion of gravy. And for our veggie friends, their mushroom gravy will blow your mind.
2. Lucile's
For a bit more of a kick, try Lucile's Creole Cafe. With locations all around the Metro area, Lucile's brings New Orleans to 5280 feet.
My favorites at Lucile's include the Crawfish Etouffee and the Eggs Sardou. Of course, no meal is complete without their beignets and a café au lait.
3. Sassafras
Sassafras serves up a fresh twist on Southern breakfast in lunch in a historic home in Jefferson Park as well as in their second location off Colfax.
Try their Bloody Mary or Mimosa flights alongside their Chicken Fried Eggs and Buffalo Hash or a Fried Green Tomato Po' Boy. If you're looking for something less boozy, their espresso bar features sweet drinks like a Southern Praline Latte or a Chocolate Dipped Bacon Milkshake.
4. Tupelo Honey
Tupelo Honey decided to open their first non-Southern location in a beautiful building in Denver's Union Station neighborhood.
Their head chef is a 4-time James Beard Award finalist who serves up absolutely delicious treats like sweet potato pancakes and fried chicken and their bar features "community cocktails" that serve 4-6 people.
But the best thing about Tupelo Honey may not even be their brunch, or at least brunch in the morning. They offer a "Moonrise Brunch" on the weekends from 9-midnight for those who just can't drag themselves out of bed, and their happy hour boasts a huge selection of $6 appetizer.
