If Dr. Pepper is your favorite soda, everyone around you probably knows it — the soda brand has built a rock-solid loyal fanbase over decades. Fans of Dr. Pepper and curious eaters alike will be intrigued to try a new offering from Round Table Pizza: Dr. Pepper Pizza.
Yes, it may sound weird — pizza and soda separately are the perfect combo, but together in one dish? At first glance, it seems like Round Table Pizza has lost the plot.
The new pizza flavor arrives in the midst of a collaboration between Round Table Pizza and Dr. Pepper to deliver a new menu lineup that includes the soda in every dish through a Dr. Pepper-infused BBQ sauce.
Round Table is mildly familiar with the novelty of including soda into pizza, having collaborated with another soda brand in the past. In 2022, Round Table teamed up with Pepsi in 2022 to create the Pepsi-Roni, a pizza topped with Pepsi Zero Sugar-infused sausages to mimic pepperoni. The Pepsi-Roni was only available for one day in Los Angeles as a trial flavor, selling out quickly.
What’s in the Dr Pepper x Round Table Pizza menu?
It wouldn’t be a true Round Table Pizza collab if pizza wasn’t involved. Of course, first up in the new lineup is the Dr. Pepper Pizza, which features a base of garlic sauce and Dr. Pepper-infused BBQ sauce, covered in a blanket of a three-cheese blend, then finally topped with mini pepperonis, bacon pieces, green onions, and a generous drizzle of the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce.
For @fanof_osrs on TikTok, the only problem he finds with the pizza is the chopped green onions, which may resonate with some picky eaters as well. As for the inclusion of Dr. Pepper, the creator seems to be willing to try anything once. “It looks alright, you know? I’d give it a try, bro,” the creator said.
The new Dr. Pepper menu also features Dr. Pepper BBQ wings and boneless wings to dig into. Both are tossed in the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and sprinkled with crispy bacon bits.
If pizza and wings aren’t your vibe, Round Table is also offering Bacon & Cheese Tots — tater tots topped with bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and a Dr. Pepper BBQ dipping sauce.
When is the Dr. Pepper Pizza available until?
Thankfully, the Dr. Pepper lineup will be available at Round Table for much longer than just a day, set to stay on the menu through January 3, 2027.
Personally, I think that Dr. Pepper in barbeque sauce makes enough sense to try a new menu item at least once. Make sure to try it before it leaves Round Table storefronts for good early next year.
