McDonald’s France then captioned the photo, “For four years minimum,” hoping that this would ease the sting of their loss until the next Olympic games.

The Classic Curry sauce is a burst of sweet and spicy flavor, and actually not named after the iconic basketball player. The French McDonald’s poked fun at removing this sauce from its menu after taking home the silver medal.
Feelings were mixed from both American and French fans in the post’s comments and across other social media platforms. On the Instagram post, some commented, “I refuse!! What is that!” while others tagged McDonald’s asking for the sauce to be brought to the U.S. instead.
While this post was a jump scare for lovers of the Classic Curry sauce, a spokesperson from McDonald’s France told CNN that the post was only a playful joke from the franchise, in response to Stephen Curry’s gold performance.
