Did you know KFC has buffets? KFC buffets were once bountiful in the 1980s, along with other popular fast-food chains like Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Buffets were once a go-to classic as society coveted a cheap and all-inclusive meal that could be enjoyed by the whole family. Not only that, but KFC even today represents the overall attitude of quick and easy takeout that was appreciated during that time so much so that the popular Netflix TV series Stranger Things included the classic Kentucky Fried Chicken in the “Chapter One: MADMAX” episode.
KFC’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffets were even able to survive into the twenty-first century, that is until 2020 when the vast majority of KFC buffets shut down as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Where are the KFC buffets located?
The search for the KFC buffet has now become so minimal in scale that you have to utilize social media platforms and blogs to find them. One such resource has come out of the shadows in order to uncover all of the KFC buffet locations, and that is the KFC Buffet Aficionados Facebook group.
People even posted the Atlas of North American KFC Buffets map to share all the locations for the KFC buffets. Those locations are Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Another post goes on to describe the cost of the KFC buffet in Sparta Tennessee, where Monday-Friday the buffet is $8.00, including a drink. The classic chicken, however, can be bought separately for a discounted price.
Is the experience worth the hassle of finding a location that has one?
That depends.
Many KFC fans take the voyage to these buffet locations to feel the nostalgia of when they used to go to them as a kid. If waiting in line to get your scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy with some chicken at a super low price sounds good to you, then stop by a buffet. If that doesn’t sound like a fun trip, your best bet is to save on gas instead.
