In case you missed it, today’s National Pancake Day. It’s one of the best breakfast foods, in my opinion, from the classic buttermilk to chocolate chip to blueberry, one can never go wrong with a pancake. Just imagine this: a stack of pancakes with a side of eggs and the crispiest bacon topped with a nub of butter and maple syrup. What’s not to love? But pancakes aren’t meant to be enjoyed only in the mornings. It’s an anytime-of-day food. If this national food holiday didn’t already dictate what you should have today, maybe a freebie will. Celebrate today, which I would argue should be a federal holiday, with IHOP’s Short Stack for free.
Here’s how to get IHOP’s free pancakes.
The International House of Pancakes will be offering three of its signature buttermilk pancakes, aka the house’s Short Stack, when you dine in.
The freebie offer is valid for dine-in only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. nationwide at participating IHOP locations and limited to one order per person.
For those who prefer not to dine in, IHOP’s website states that when joining its rewards program, members can receive a free stack of five pancakes after their first purchase — free birthday pancakes are also a perk (!!!).
Where else can I get free pancakes?
If you can’t make it to IHOP, no worries. Denny’s is also offering a free short stack — two buttermilk pancakes — with an entrée purchase from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Enjoy your stacks.
