Chuck E. Cheese’s, “Where a kid can be a kid,” is a kid’s dream place to play. As much as kids love climbing on the germ-filled structures, playing the arcade games, and winning raffle tickets to cash in for cheap prizes, parents and babysitters have always dreaded taking their kids to the nightmare that is Chuck E. Cheese’s… Until now. What’s the new draw for babysitters, older siblings, and parents to bring their kids to the venue? The FOOD.
Back when you went to Chuck E. Cheese’s as a kid, you probably go for the food. Being the picky eater that I was, I personally refused to eat their pizza that was always served at birthday parties. However, Chuck E. Cheese’s now boasts a new family menu, complete with items that family members of all ages will enjoy.
These “new dining options fit for taste buds of all ages” include BBQ Chicken Pizza and Cali Alfredo Pizza. Additionally, you have the option to make any pizza crust regular or thin and crispy, and every pizza is made with 100% mozzarella cheese. Allergic to gluten? No worries, they also offer gluten-free crusts! Blind taste tests even revealed that people preferred Chuck E. Cheese’s new pizza to Domino’s and Pizza Hut’s pizza.
The new menu goes beyond just gourmet pizzas. Other big hits on the menu that cater to those with more sophisticated taste-buds include the BBQ chicken ciabatta sandwich, buffalo chicken cheesy bread, BBQ and sweet chili chicken wings (available boneless), pizza dogs, and soft parmesan breadsticks.
For those looking for something on the healthier side, Chuck E. Cheese now has whole wheat Caesar and club wraps. They even have a fresh salad bar with a selection of over 40 toppings such as fresh-cut vegetables, fruits, meats and cheeses, not to mention various pasta salads and an assortment of dressings. For those counting calories, watching cholesterol, or just curious about the nutritional value of the menu items, nutritional information is provided on the Chuck E. Cheese’s website, along with allergen information and food allergy FAQ.
On the not-so-healthy side (but still incredibly delicious) are their irresistible churros, served hot with caramel and white chocolate icing. If churros aren’t you’re thing, don’t fret — the dessert options don’t end there. There’s also apple pie pizza and cinnamon breadsticks.
There’s no doubt that kids love and have always loved going to Chuck E. Cheese’s. Now, with greater focus on the food and a new menu geared towards more refined taste buds, adults and teenage babysitters can enjoy the venue just as much (maybe more) than the kids. So let the kids play while you sit down, relax, and enjoy the entertainment… And oh yeah, the FOOD.
