A Complete Overview Of TikTok’s Favorite Pumpkin-Shaped Foods

Everyone knows that pumpkins are one of the most iconic motifs of fall. And while pumpkin-flavored foods are everywhere to be found in any typical grocery store, pumpkin-shaped foods are much harder to come by.

Thankfully, TikTok’s most creative food creators have come up with ways to embody the spirit of fall in both flavor and form — here are some of the cutest pumpkin-shaped foods I’ve seen on TikTok.

Stuffed Mochi

@ricesprinkles

Mine all turned out a little… unique! 🤠 But that’s ok, pumpkins all look a little funky anyway 🎃 For 8 pumpkin mochi: 175g pumpkin purée* 115g glutinous rice flour 30g corn starch 35g sugar 8 dried goji berries or raisins (optional) Filling: 250g pumpkin purée* 20g butter 18g sugar Pinch of salt *This is 1 15-oz can of pumpkin purée total Full recipe is on my website! https://ricesprinkles.com/recipe/pumpkin-mochi

♬ TY FOR USING MY SOUND – ໒꒰ྀི ๑ ´ ˘ ` ू ꒱ྀིაᰔᩚ܀∘˚🎀🫧🍭

This recipe by @ricesprinkles on TikTok makes steamed mochi that is both pumpkin-shaped and pumpkin-filled. The best part? You only need five ingredients to make it yourself: canned pumpkin puree, rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and butter.

The creator makes the mochi into a pumpkin shape by creating a circle shape with the mochi and the filling, then creating indents with the back of a knife. If you want to add a sixth ingredient to the list, use goji berries or raisins as a stem for your pumpkin.

This video of making pumpkin-shaped pizza bombs by @butterrandflour on TikTok has garnered nearly one million views since being posted, and it’s easy to see why. These pizza bombs are super easy to make: just roll out some premade pizza dough, spread some sauce and cheese on top, and gather the dough into a ball.

To make the pumpkin shape, the creator uses cooking twine — when the pizza bombs are done baking, they will puff up everywhere except for the areas blocked by the string, creating the perfect pumpkin effect.

You can use a stem from a pepper to act as a pumpkin stem when serving.

Gnocchi

pumpkin shaped and flavored gnocchi! So fun to make 🤎🎃

Although this recipe for pumpkin gnocchi by @moribyan on TikTok is two years old, it’s clear why it’s still popular on the platform. While this creator chose to create pumpkin puree from scratch, you can substitute canned pumpkin puree and get the same result.

Once the gnocchi dough is formed, use the back of a knife or a toothpick to carefully indent each line on every piece of gnocchi. While it’s tedious work, the results are too adorable to not be worth the effort.

Bon appétit & Happy Halloween 🎃🍫👻 🇬🇧 Pumpkin Nutella Donuts 🎃🍫 Ingredients 🗒️ For the donuts: * 180ml lukewarm milk * 8g dry yeast * 60g granulated sugar * 1 egg * 1 tsp vanilla extract * 25 drops orange food coloring * 350g flour * 1 tsp salt * 50g soft butter For the filling & decoration: * Nutella * Granulated sugar * Brown sugar * Cinnamon (optional) * Pretzel sticks * White chocolate * Green food coloring Preparation 👩🏻‍🍳 1. In a bowl, mix the lukewarm milk, dry yeast and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes. 2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix. 3. Add the orange food coloring and mix until you get a bright orange color. 4. Add the flour and salt, then start kneading. 5. Gradually add the softened butter and knead until the dough is soft and elastic. 6. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place. 7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 balls. 8. For each ball, place 4 pieces of cotton thread on your work surface. Place the dough ball on top and gently wrap the threads around it to create the pumpkin shape. Do not tighten the threads too much, as the dough will expand. 9. Let the shaped dough rest again for 20–30 minutes. 10. Heat the oil and fry the donuts, turning them so they become evenly golden on all sides. 11. Remove them from the oil and let them cool slightly. 12. Carefully cut and remove all the threads. 13. Mix granulated sugar with brown sugar and, if desired, a little cinnamon. Coat the still slightly warm donuts in the sugar mixture. 14. Make a small hole on top of each pumpkin and fill generously with Nutella using a piping bag. 15. For the stems, dip pretzel sticks into white chocolate mixed with a little green food coloring, then let the chocolate set. 16. Place a chocolate-covered pretzel stem in the center of each pumpkin. Enjoy & Happy Halloween 🎃🍫👻 #halloweencountdown #halloweenrecipe #recettefacileetrapide #spookyseason #pumpkindonuts

Donuts stuffed with Nutella? Say less, I’m sat. These pumpkin Nutella donuts by @ouidad.drss on TikTok might be the most craveable recipe I’ve seen on the platform in a while.

While this recipe doesn’t call for any kind of pumpkin flavor in the donut dough, you can adjust the recipe to your own liking and find one that uses pumpkin puree.

Use cotton thread or cooking twine to let the donuts fry into their pumpkin shape. Once they’re done frying, toss them in a cinnamon sugar mixture and fill them up to the brim with Nutella. This creator also uses pretzel sticks dipped in white chocolate with green food coloring for a chocolate-covered pretzel stem.

Cookies

These pumpkin cookies shown on @recipestomakee’s TikTok page are super simple to make — just use your regular cookie dough and add in a small amount of pumpkin puree or pumpkin spice seasoning. Then, you can roll small dough balls and either pinch ridge shapes into the dough or use a toothpick to etch pumpkin lines.

For extra pizzazz, consider decorating your pumpkin cookies with icing and sprinkles.

Bagels

Pumpkin-shaped pumpkin bagels. Probably the cutest think I’ve ever made 🎃🥯 Recipe coming soon! #pumpkinbagels #fallbaking #homemadebagels #pumpkinseason #bakingtok

Last but not least, these pumpkin bagels by @itsmadebymegan on TikTok might be the cutest pumpkin-shaped offering out of all of the recipes. Add pumpkin puree or pumpkin spice seasoning to your regular bagel dough, add in some orange food coloring, and wrap each bagel portion with cooking twine before boiling.

Once the bagels are boiled, they come out perfectly soft and squishy. Add some pumpkin cream cheese into the mix, and you have an ideal fall breakfast ready to eat.
