The Most Accurate Food-Related Beige Flags, According To The Internet

If you’ve been on TikTok lately, you’ve probably heard of beige flags. ICYMI, a beige flag is similar to a dating red flag or green flag, except it’s not strictly good or bad. It’s just kind of…interesting. According to the Urban Dictionary, a beige flag “makes you pause for a minute when you notice it and then you just continue on.” For example, say you’re eating some refreshing, icy-sweet popsicles with a new love interest, and they just take a bite. Just chomp right in, with their bare teeth. That might make you pause, but it’s not a red flag. On the other hand, it’s definitely not a green flag. Hence, the beige flag is born.

Naturally a lot of these *quirks* relate to food habits. And let’s be real, we all have at least one food-related beige flags of our own. For example, I like to chew on the ice in my coffee while I drink it. Like, I will take the lid off just so I can get the ice out (yes, I am very excited about Starbucks new ice). This is a judgment free zone, okay?
