Memorial Day is a day that marks the start of summer, the end of school, and a time to celebrate our country with close friends and family. When we think of this holiday, things like pool parties, beach trips, fireworks, and of course, cookouts come to mind. Therefore, what better way to help you best enjoy your Memorial Day cookout than with a guide to what you should eat based on astrology? These are the classic cookout foods to eat on Memorial Day based on your zodiac sign.

Aries: Hamburgers

Aries, born between March 21 and April 19, is the first sign in the astrological calendar. Therefore, Aries are commonly described as wanting to be number one. They are often competitive, ambitious, and looking to find a way to the top. We thought Aries would love to eat a hamburger this Memorial Day weekend because they are usually the star of the show at the cookout.

Taurus: Sangria

Taurus, born from April 20 to May 20, are usually described as relaxed and at peace with themselves. Therefore, we thought it only made sense to pair them with sangria due to their fruity flavors and ability to relax any BBQ guests.

Gemini: Cheesecake with fresh berries

Gemini are those born between May 21 and June 20. They are thought of by many to be curious, spontaneous, and playful. Therefore, we felt that a fresh cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries would be the perfect food for Gemini because of its fun-loving image and set of fun and unique flavors.

Cancer: Lobster roll

Cancers are born between June 21 and July 22. Right off the bat, we felt that a lobster roll would be perfect for Cancers because they, of course, are a water sign. However, Cancers are also described as intuitive and those who find importance in relationships with trust. This leads us to the lobster roll because if you can’t trust the person who made them, you won’t indulge in this delectable sandwich.

Leo: Hotdogs

Leos, born from July 23 to August 22, are often characterized by their passion and drama. Due to their representation as a lion, it is no surprise they love to be in the spotlight. Therefore, we believed Leos would enjoy hotdogs this Memorial Day because, along with hamburgers, these are a must-have at every BBQ.

Virgo: Watermelon

We thought that Virgos, born between August 23 and September 22, would enjoy watermelon at their cookout. We know Virgos, an earth sign, to be logical and practical. Watermelon is simple, easy, and usually always good when found in season, which aligns perfectly with the views and feelings of Virgos.

Libra: Potato salad

Libra, born between September 23 and October 22, are seen as peacekeepers and healers of conflict. Scorpio: Coleslaw

Sagittariuses are always up for an adventure. Born between November 22 and December 21, Sagittariuses don’t hold back and are constantly looking to gain more knowledge and experience. Therefore, we think ribs, the ultimate “cool” food, are the perfect fit for Sagittariuses. They can be made in a number of different ways, making the possibilities endless.

Capricorn: Corn

Of course, corn is in the name, so we couldn’t help but advise Capricorns to enjoy corn this Memorial Day weekend. Born between December 22 and January 19, these people know that success takes patience and hard work. Although corn can sometimes lie in the shadows during a meal, with patience, people always end up with a buttery and crunchy cob of corn on their plate.

Aquarius: Chocolate chip cookies

Pisces: Apple pie

As the last sign in the astrological calendar, Pisces, born between February 19 and March 20, is often described as emotional and empathetic. Because they are the last sign, they have learned many lessons and had many life experiences, perfectly summing up our ideas of apple pie. As one of the iconic symbols of America, the apple pie is dependable and experienced, just like the Pisces.
