5 Hacks That Will Make Your Keurig Coffee Taste Gourmet

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Wake Forest chapter.

If you had to choose between sipping your favorite Starbucks latte or a cup of coffee made with a Keurig, most likely you would go for the latte. Especially during the holiday season, it becomes increasingly difficult to resist the enticing flavors your favorite coffee chain advertises.

For us Keurig dependents, K-Cups are what we live and breathe by — they’re (relatively) inexpensive and super convenient. Even for certain coffee enthusiasts who claim to be unsatisfied by K-Cups, there’s still hope! These tips will have your Keurig coffee tasting like that expensive holiday latte.

What is Christmas without eggnog? You may find eggnog not only sneaking its way into your fridge, but also your coffee. Add some to your favorite flavor of morning brew for a creamy treat.

4. Pumpkin Spice Latte

With just a teaspoon of pumpkin spice, your basic coffee will turn into a cup of warm pumpkin heaven. If you’re feeling more adventurous and craving more pumpkin, scoop in one tablespoon of pumpkin puree into the already brewed coffee (add sugar and milk to taste) and bam!

5. Caramel Nutella Mocha

Squeeze in some caramel sauce and add in a spoonful of Nutella for a sweet drink.

#SpoonTip: Freeze a spoon covered in Nutella overnight, so all you need to do is stir for magic to happen.

Happy Holidays to all of you Keurig users out there. Make sure to unleash your inner barista this Holiday season. Spruce up your basic coffee with these simple ingredients to get into the holiday spirit.
