There's nothing like the long awaited college life. The freedom, endless nights completing your assignments which are due the next day, trying to survive on a budget as well as trying and hoping, yet failing, to get delicious meals each night. Eating balanced, filling meals isn't the easiest when you're a college student and have no prior experience in cooking and fending for yourself. Although cooking in a dorm room doesn't often lead to culinary masterpieces, there are definitely ways to survive college and have tasty meals and all you need is a microwave. You can legit make meals in the microwave that are definitely college friendly for times when you're in a hurry and don't have time to mess with a stove or actually know nothing about cooing.

Here's a list of 7 college friendly meals that are a definite life save rafter a long hard day of tests, submissions and continuous hour-long lectures. They're delicious, tasty and so easy to make, require barely any time and are without a doubt under the budget! Come on guys, let's be proud of something we cooked for once.

1. Mac n Cheese

This is comfort food at its finest - and fastest. All you need for this beautiful cheesy heaven is half a cup of macaroni and water and microwave it for 3 minutes. Add a splash of milk, 1/4 cup of cheese and oregano (optional) and heat it for 30 seconds in a microwavable mug and you've got yourselves some delectable Macaroni and Cheese!

2. Scrambled Eggs

2 eggs, half a bell pepper, some onions, 2 slices chopped chicken salami (optional), 1/4 cup spinach, salt and pepper to taste is what you need for some yummy and filling eggs. Mix and microwave for 3 minutes and viola! Nutritious and gorgeous eggs in a mug. Absolutely egg-cellent.

3. Red Sauce Chicken Pasta

Don't tell the Italians but microwave pasta actually works and it tastes so good! Boil half a cup of pasta and water for 3 minutes in a microwavable mug and add the pre-cooked chicken kebabs, tomato marinara sauce and the shredded cheese and cook until the cheese is melted. Honestly? This tastes so freaking amazing!

4. Salami Sandwich

For this healthy yet appetizing sandwich, all you need to have is a sandwich bread (obviously), some spinach, a couple of tomato slices, cheddar, salami slices, an egg and some milk. For this easy and filling go-to lunch, just cook the egg with the milk and some seasoning for 1-2 minutes and assemble this baby to enjoy!

For this yummy breakfast-y sugary goodness, you'll need 2 sandwich breads completely soaked in a mixture of - an egg, 3 tablespoons of milk, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla extract. Microwave it for about 2 minutes and sprinkle it with some powdered sugar. You simply won't regret it guys.

6. Microwave Nachos

This is definitely a dream come true for every cheese lover! For this, you'll need a packet of tortilla chips, topped with absolutely anything -a packet of refried beans, tomatoes, onions, olives, lettuce, salsa with sour cream- the possibilities are endless! Sprinkle LOADS of cheese on your final product and microwave it until the cheese is melted and you've got yourself the perfect midnight snack!

7. Pita Pizza

Sometimes you just want pizza (well in my case it's always). So if a pizza can be made at home in just under 5 minutes? Count me the heck in! This microwave pita pizza literally just requires pita bread, some pizza sauce and any sort of veggies you've got lying in the kitchen - be it tomatoes, onions or spinach. Arrange the toppings on the pita, cover it with shredded mozzarella cheese and microwave until the cheese melts. Absolutely delightful!
