My name is Mya Pacheco and I am currently a junior at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. As an intern for the National Writers Program at Spoon University, I will be writing articles about food trends and creating content to inform readers nationwide.
I have written news articles about events on my college campus, such as articles for campus art exhibits and club events, as well as, some issues students have been going through on campus. This summer, I completed an internship for The Child Center of New York, where I taught high schoolers about DOE school policies and work readiness. In my free time, I enjoy writing fictional short stories, reading romance books, and painting landscapes. I am a lover of history, art and music. I am an old soul when it comes to fashion and music, loving the 1970s and 80s the most. I am a huge foodie, who loves to cook and bake on weekends. I developed my own chocolate chip cookie recipe which my family begs me for during the Christmas season even though I keep it secret. I love Marvel movies and my favorite TV show is Interview with the Vampire(2022).
