When it comes to chicken wings, do you dip your wings in blue cheese or ranch? I’m a ranch girly with Hidden Valley Ranch being my favorite brand. Almost everything tastes better with ranch. Hidden Valley Ranch’s seasoning was also a game-changer for me — I season burgers, french fries, chicken, and even mix veggies with it. Hidden Valley, in my eyes, is only for cooking or to be used as a condiment. Imagine my surprise when finding out that the brand released lip balm. (not sure why I was surprised. There was a time when Hidden Valley Ranch kegs were a thing.) Hidden Valley partnered with Burt’s Bees for the creation of four flavored lip balms to enhance your game day experience.
What are the Hidden Valley x Burt’s Bees lip balms?
Yesterday, Hidden Valley and Burt’s Bees announced Ranch Dippers Lip Balm. It’s a four-pack limited-edition flavor collaboration that’s truly for ranch lovers and featured on Burt’s Bees website. “It’s a wing basket in balm form just for game day,” Hidden Valley wrote in its Instagram post.
The lip balm flavors include Hidden Valley Ranch, celery, carrots, and Buffalo sauce — all ingredients found in a basket of chicken wings.
The limited-edition lip balms sold out in a few hours upon its release, according to another Hidden Valley Instagram post.
Some took to Burt’s Bees website to express the need for a restock. “Please bring this back 🙏 Perfect gift for my ranch-lover kid. (One star rating because it’s sold out),” said one comment. “Bud I’ve been checking to get these and they’re all gone??? Your actually joking I’m so disappointed please bring it back I need them,” wrote another.
Creating lip balms that are perfect for game day, doesn’t even surprise me. Hidden Valley has done various cool yet unhinged collabs.
Here are some of Hidden Valley’s other wild collaborations.
Last March, the brand partnered with Van Leeuwen for a Hidden Valley Ranch ice cream.
The flavor was a part of a limited-edition line that was sold exclusively in Walmart.
In 2022, Hidden Valley went luxury with diamonds.
The Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning powder was made into a diamond that once cut, was set in a 14-karat gold band with an inscription that says “HVR LVR.” Fans were encouraged to bid on the Ranch Diamond with all proceeds benefiting Feeding America.
That same year, the brand went into home decor with a pizza and ranch-themed set that included a $10,000 couch designed by Dani Dazey.
Most of these collabs were announced for National Ranch Day. So, let’s see what Hidden Valley has in store for us this year.
