Cookies are arguably the best dessert or snack — snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate, sugar — I can quite literally go on. It’s not just flavors either. Large, small, chewy, crispy, doughy, cookies come in various shapes and sizes. What’s not to love? It’s a pleasure that’s perfect for any time of the day, even during those 1 a.m. cravings — Insomnia Cookies, I’m looking at you. And if you want to show your love for the cookie brand even more, Insomnia Cookies has an Ambassador Program strictly for college athletes called Insomnia Athletes.
What is Insomnia Cookies’ Ambassador Program?
In September 2021, Insomnia Cookies announced the launch of Insomnia Athletes after NIL happened — the result of the NCAA v. Alston (2021) case which granted college athletes the opportunity to earn compensation for their name, image, and likeness (NIL).
Insomnia Athletes aims to support college athletes across multiple sports and divisions. The plus? Indulging their sweet tooths!
The late-night cookie spot’s priority is female and e-sports athletes. Supporting e-sports athletes is an ode to Insomnia Cookies’ origin. According to the press release, when founder Seth Berkowitz was in college, Berkowitz and his friends were playing Halo long into the night and preferred sweet treats to pizza delivery — thus the creation of Insomnia Cookies was born.
Insomnia Cookies felt that it was critical to not only spotlight but support the female athlete community but to the cookie spot’s most engaged consumers are females between the ages of 18 and 24.
College athletes interested in applying for an Insomnia Athletes sponsorship, the application is open for the Spring 2024 semester until January 8 and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
